Designing Future-Ready Digital Infrastructure
Government, Health & Aged Care, Private Sector case study

Evinact delivered an ICT blueprint for seven new satellite health centres across South East Queensland.
The context
Queensland Health launched a $265 million initiative to deliver seven new satellite health centres across South-East Queensland, aiming to bring modern, digitally enabled healthcare services closer to local communities. These centres are located in Bribie Island, Caboolture, Kallangur, Eight Mile Plains, Redlands, Ripley and Tugun
The program’s goal is to improve access to care, reduce pressure on major hospitals, and support innovative models of care through advanced digital infrastructure. To support this vision, Evinact was engaged to develop the ICT blueprint for all seven centres, ensuring each facility would be equipped to operate as a fully digital facility and meet Queensland Health’s high standards for patient care and operational efficiency.
The method
Evinact led a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process, collaborating with representatives from each Hospital and Health Service (HHS) and Queensland Health. The team identified and scoped the ICT and digital requirements for each centre, including architecture, clinical software, network and infrastructure design, and costings.
A single, high-level ICT blueprint was developed as the foundation for all seven centres. This blueprint addressed both core and site-specific needs, ensuring alignment with eHealth Queensland standards and industry best practice. The project was delivered within a condensed 8-week timeframe to meet the program’s ambitious schedule.
The impact
The ICT blueprint provided a critical foundation for the planning and development of Queensland Health’s Satellite Health Centres Program. Each facility is now positioned to operate as a digitally enabled facility, supporting advanced models of care and improving access to health services in local communities.
This project set a new benchmark for digital healthcare delivery in Australia, demonstrating Evinact’s ability to deliver complex, multi-site ICT solutions efficiently and effectively.
The Satellite Health Centres are expected to:
- Reduce pressure on major hospitals by providing care closer to home.
- Support local communities with modern, digitally enabled health services.
- Enable flexible, innovative models of care through robust ICT infrastructure.
