Power BI Reporting Solution
The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) manages complex, multi-year environmental recovery programs, with assistance provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
To improve oversight, reporting and decision-making across these programs, DETSI required a more integrated and scalable reporting capability.

- Environmental Disaster Recovery Team, DETSI
DETSI’s Environmental Disaster Recovery (EDR) team is responsible for managing environmental recovery activities following declared natural disasters across Queensland.
Program information was spread across multiple applications and manual processes, creating challenges in:
- Consolidating DRFA reporting across programs and projects
- Capturing program status consistently and in real time
- Producing reliable program-level reporting
- Managing geographic and financial analysis efficiently

Evinact designed and delivered a user-centred reporting and analytics solution using SharePoint Lists and Power BI.
